Women’s Health and Hormone Replacement

As women age, natural levels of estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone decline, often leading to depression, fatigue, hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disturbances, brain fog, low libido, and decreased feelings of well-being. In the right patient, hormone replacement (HT) is a safe and effective treatment designed to ease these symptoms of menopause while also supporting long-term health.

Beyond symptom relief, HT offers important protective benefits for bone health, helping to prevent osteoporosis and reduce the risk of fractures. When started early in menopause, HT may also support cardiovascular health and cognitive function.

Treatment is highly personalized to meet each woman’s unique needs, with options including oral medications, patches, gels, creams, or vaginal preparations. Both bioidentical and traditional hormone therapies are available to help match your preferences and health goals.

Care begins with a thorough evaluation of your medical history, symptoms, and lab results so we can create a tailored HT plan that balances benefits and risks. Whether you’re navigating perimenopause, menopause, or managing ongoing hormone-related concerns, the goal is to help you feel like yourself again and support your health for the long term.

All recommendations are grounded in current scientific evidence and major society guidelines, including position statements from The Menopause Society and other professional organizations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are lab tests included in the price?
A: No. All lab testing is billed separately. Some basic blood tests may be covered by your insurance if you use an in-network lab and your plan applies benefits, but most specialty hormone panels and advanced testing are not covered and are paid out of pocket. You will always be informed of options and estimated costs before testing is ordered.

Q: What kinds of labs do you usually order?
A: Labs are tailored to your situation, but often include sex hormones, thyroid markers, basic metabolic and lipid panels, and sometimes additional tests based on your symptoms and history.

Q: Do I have to join the Hormone Therapy Bundle?
A: No. The bundle is recommended for women who want ongoing support and prescription management, but you can choose a standalone consult or follow-up if you prefer a one-time evaluation or second opinion.

Q: How often will I need follow-up visits?
A: For patients on HT, at least one follow-up is typically needed within the first 3–6 months to adjust dosing, and then every 6–12 months for ongoing prescription management, depending on your response and risk factors.

Q: Is hormone replacement safe for me?
A: Safety depends on your personal and family history, existing conditions, and timing of therapy. This is why your initial consult includes a detailed risk–benefit discussion before starting or changing HT.

Q: Can you work with my existing prescriber or gynecologist?
A: Yes. When appropriate and with your permission, visit notes and recommendations can be shared with your existing care team to keep everyone aligned on your treatment plan.

Q: Do you prescribe bioidentical hormones?
A: Yes. Both bioidentical and traditional hormone options are available. The choice depends on your symptoms, preferences, and what is safest and most effective for you.Q: Do you offer virtual visits?
A: Yes. Follow-up visits can be done either in person or via telehealth, depending on your location, preferences, and regulatory requirements.
